Is Finland really cheaper than Sweden? +
Yes, tuition is lower (Sweden charges SEK 80-145K, Finland EUR 8-18K which works out 20 to 40% cheaper). Living costs are similar. Finnish public universities offer scholarships more readily.
Do I need Finnish? +
No for English-taught Masters. Helpful for jobs after graduation but Helsinki and Tampere have many English-friendly tech roles.
How is the post-study work permit? +
International graduates get a 2-year residence permit to find a job. After finding employment, switch to a work-based permit. 4 years of legal residence = permanent residence eligibility.
What about the climate? +
