Government Engineering College Thrissur (GECT, established 1957) is one of Kerala's oldest government engineering colleges and the dominant feeder for technical Masters applications from Thrissur. The college has strong CSE, ECE, and Mechanical departments. KAU Thrissur (Kerala Agricultural University) and KVASU Mannuthy graduates also come through for specialised Masters in agriculture, veterinary, food technology, and biotech destinations (Netherlands, Germany, New Zealand are common).

Private engineering college graduates

Vidya Academy of Science and Technology (Thalakkottukara), Christ College of Engineering Irinjalakuda, Thejus Engineering College, Sahrdaya College, Jyothi Engineering College, MET'S School of Engineering, Nehru College of Engineering and Research Centre. These students often have realistic budget constraints and value-conscious destination preferences. Germany, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, and the Netherlands come up early in their counselling alongside the standard Canada and UK shortlist.

Nursing graduates from Irinjalakuda, Kunnamkulam, and central Thrissur

The Thrissur district has a strong nursing-college ecosystem with major institutions at Irinjalakuda, Kunnamkulam, and across the central Thrissur town. The Healthcare-to-Germany pathway is the dominant request from these graduates. UK NMC, Ireland NMBI, and Gulf hospital routes follow.

Arts, Commerce, Science from Calicut University and MG University affiliated colleges

IELTS, PTE, OET test centres

British Council and IDP operate IELTS test centres in Thrissur. PTE Academic and OET centres are mostly in Kochi (75 minutes south); some Thrissur students travel to Kochi specifically for these tests and combine with a counselling visit to our branch. Passport office and PCC

Passport applications and renewals for Thrissur are handled at the Regional Passport Office, Kochi (Ernakulam), with PSK (Passport Seva Kendra) at Mannuthy, Thrissur for local appointments. PCC is issued by the Commissioner of Police, Thrissur City, in 5 to 10 working days.

Transport to Kochi branch

From Thrissur railway station to Ernakulam Town: 60 to 75 minutes by train (frequent services). From Ernakulam Town to our Vennala branch: 25 to 35 minutes by auto. KSRTC bus on NH-544 alternative: 75 to 90 minutes door-to-door from central Thrissur to Vennala. Day-trip-feasible.
