PTE scoring is 10 to 90. Pick your target by what it gets you.

PTE Academic is scored on a Global Scale of English from 10 to 90, across four sections: Speaking, Writing, Reading, Listening. Your overall score is the average. Visa systems and universities set minimum cut-offs.

Foundation level

Unlike IELTS, PTE breaks each section into 4 to 7 distinct task types (Read Aloud, Repeat Sentence, Describe Image, Re-tell Lecture, etc.). Different task types use different scoring algorithms. We teach each one with its own technique.

Is PTE easier than IELTS? +
Not easier, different. PTE is computer-based and AI-scored, so there's no examiner subjectivity, especially in Speaking. Students who are comfortable typing tend to score higher in PTE. Students with strong handwriting and articulate speech often score higher in IELTS. Take our diagnostic and we'll show you which one suits you.
How long is PTE Academic valid? +
Two years from the exam date. Most universities, work visa schemes, and immigration programs require a score less than 2 years old at the time of application.
What does the exam cost? +
₹14,700 paid directly to Pearson at exam registration (2026 rate). Cokonet coaching fees vary by batch format and target score, so reach out via the enquiry form or call our PTE desk for current pricing.
How fast are results? +
Typically within 2 working days. This is the biggest practical advantage of PTE. Compared to IELTS paper-based (13 days) or IELTS computer-delivered (3 to 5 days), PTE is consistently the fastest.
Will Australia really accept PTE? +
Yes. Australia accepts PTE Academic for all student visas, skilled migration (Subclass 189, 190, 491), and most professional registrations. PTE is currently more popular than IELTS for Australia-bound Kerala students.
What if I do not type fast? +
We include typing speed training in every batch. By week 2, most students can comfortably type at 35+ WPM, which is enough for PTE timing. Faster than that helps but is not strictly necessary.
