Common questions Kerala students ask.

Do I need a fine arts or design degree?+
Helpful but not required. About 40% of working UI/UX designers in 2026 come from non-design backgrounds (engineering, psychology, marketing, literature). What matters is portfolio quality. The 10 weeks are built to produce a portfolio strong enough to compete.
Can I switch from UI to UX or vice versa?+
Yes, often you do both for the first 3-4 years. The industry distinction between UI (visual design) and UX (research and structure) is blurry at junior level. Senior roles often specialise. Knowing both makes you a stronger candidate.
Is AI replacing designers?+
AI tools (Midjourney, ChatGPT, Figma AI) speed up ideation and asset generation, but cannot replace the judgement layer (user research, decision making, brand voice, accessibility). Designers who use AI well are getting more productive. Designers who reject AI are getting left behind.
Figma or Sketch?+
Figma, 80% of the time in 2026. Sketch still exists, mostly at older Mac-first design teams. We teach Figma primarily, with a 2-day Sketch overview for completeness. Adobe XD has effectively died as a product.
What about Web3 / NFT / metaverse design jobs?+
Volatile. We do not focus on these. Web3 design hiring collapsed in 2023 and has not recovered. Stick to mainstream product design, B2B SaaS, e-commerce, fintech. Stable demand, real career growth.
