Cokonet Overseas Pvt Ltd (CIN to be confirmed in production) operates this website. Our registered office is at Peedikayil Chambers, Ulloor Junction, Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala 695011. Branch office at VSRA-59, Vennala, Ernakulam 682028. For any data-related question, write to [email protected] or call our general line +91 6238 594143.
When you fill in any form on this site, we collect: your name, mobile number, email address, and the answers you provide to specific questions (target destination, budget, target field). Mobile numbers are verified via OTP at the time of form submission.
When you browse the site without filling forms, we collect: pages visited, time spent, country and city of origin (approximate, via IP geolocation), device type, and referral source. We use this for site analytics and to improve content.
We do not collect: precise location, contacts, photos, biometric data, or any data category that requires special protection under the DPDP Act.
Form submissions are routed to a senior counsellor at Cokonet Overseas who will contact you within 4 working hours during business days. We use your details to: respond to your enquiry, schedule a counsellor call, send you the resource (PDF, eligibility result, IELTS feedback) you requested, and follow up if you book a paid service with us.
Site analytics (anonymised) helps us understand which pages help and which need rewriting. We never combine analytics with personal data.
If you become a paying client of Cokonet Overseas and your placement requires it, we will share your information with: the universities you are applying to (always with your prior approval per application), visa application centres (VFS, embassies), our language training partners (Cokonet Academy), and our verified accommodation partners. Each sharing event is logged and you can request a copy of the log.
If required by law (court order, statutory authority request, criminal investigation), we will comply. We will notify you in writing within 7 days unless prohibited by law.
We use cookies for: site analytics (Google Analytics, anonymised), session management (so the OTP and form state persists during your visit), and content personalisation (the persona toggle on the homepage). We do not use third-party advertising cookies or retargeting pixels. You can disable cookies in your browser without breaking core site functionality.
As a data principal (the person whose data we hold), you have the right to:
Email [email protected] with your request. We respond within 30 days. If you become a paying client, the timeline shortens to 7 working days.
Enquiry data (forms submitted but no placement engaged): held for 24 months from your last interaction, then auto-deleted. Active client data: held for the duration of our engagement plus 7 years (required for regulatory compliance under foreign exchange and education-export regulations). Marketing email list: deleted on unsubscribe within 24 hours.
We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18. Most of our applicants are over 18 by the time they engage with us. For underage students applying through their parents, the parent is the data principal and consent is given by them.
When you become a paying client and we apply to universities or visa agencies abroad, your data will be transferred to the relevant country (UK, Germany, Canada, etc.). These transfers are governed by the receiving country's data protection rules. We use the Indian DPDP Act's adequacy standards: transfers happen only to countries with comparable data protection regimes, or under explicit consent for high-risk jurisdictions.
For all data and privacy questions, email [email protected]. For general queries, the contact form on our contact page or call +91 6238 594143.
